Motyka and her mother have been interested in this for around 15 years, and have started a business.

“I grew up with these things; it’s something that makes us both happy,” Motyka said. The item she treasured the most that she had sold was her Catherine Holmes teapot. “It’s bright orange, I was sad to see that one go,” she said.

They bought their goods from places such as flea markets, auctions, and occasionally the side of the road. The items they sell include clothes, books, cards, toys, and some art. The inspiration behind the store was from Motyka’s childhood. Heartworn Vintage also sells accessories, housewares, furniture, and other odds and ends.
